Health & Wellbeing Support from re:fresh

As we highlighted last month, research shows that exercise can improve your health, confidence & your quality of life. It's a great stress buster, helps you to maintain a healthy weight & lowers your risk of developing major chronic diseases, such as heart disease & diabetes.

Physical activity can boost your mental wellbeing & change your outlook on life. It can help people with anxiety & depression & in some cases, even help prevent such problems from developing in the first place!

Blackburn with Darwen's re:fresh Team are dedicated to supporting the health & wellbeing of local people. They have a wide range of advice, events & activities to help support you to live your best life.

Take a look at their Get Active Timetable here for all of their upcoming activities you can get involved with this month. They are also hosting a fun community cycling drop in day at Witon Park in May...

BwD's Re:fresh offer tailored activities for adults with Autism & Learning Difficulties too. You can find more details on their website here.

Get Your Steps In With A Local Walk

Achieving 10,000 steps per day is an excellent way to maintain a good baseline level of fitness. Improved fitness boosts our wellbeing & helps our bodies grow stronger. The easiest way to do this is to get out for a local walk & discover more of your local area!

Walking is free, a great way to explore on your doorstep & can be enjoyed solo or with friends & family.
